While many of us cover several different tasks, below is a general overview of each of our main responsibilities here at the Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Amy Cardwell, Sports Sales Director
Amy joined the CVB in September of 2005. She previously served as Director of Sales at the Hampton Inn for over two years. Amy graduated from WKU with a bachelors degree in psychology and a minor in marketing. She served on the Signature Events Committee for the State from 2006-2007 and will serve on the Unbridled Spirit Cup Committee for a Legacy Golf Event for the State.

Duncan Hines, Group Sales & Services Director
Duncan Hines joined the CVB in December 2006. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and has been a resident of Bowling Green for over 15 years. He has obtained his Kentucky Tourism Certification and is currently active in many state associations of Kentucky and Tennessee including MPI and KSAE, in which he serves as a board member.

Marissa Butler, Marketing Director
From an amusement park attendant to restaurant management and hotel sales, Marissa Butler joined the CVB in June 2007 with extensive hospitality experience. The Nashville, TN native made Bowling Green her home after graduating from WKU in 1998 with a Public Relations degree and a Folk Studies minor. Marissa began as Public Relations Coordinator, then became PR Director in 2008, and recently was promoted to Marketing Director, shaping all communication with visitors and the media.

Vicki Fitch, Executive Director
Vicki began her tourism career in 1982 at Conway Twitty’s Twitty City and then at Music Village U.S.A., both in Hendersonville, Tenn. She joined the BGACVB in June of 1991 as Marketing Director. Vicki served in that capacity until being promoted to Executive Director in August 2005.
Originally from Nashville, Tenn., Vicki graduated from Western Kentucky University with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Business Administration.

Lesley Corns Howard, Regional Sales Director
Lesley joined the CVB Sales team on a full time basis in 2011 after working for several months as a part-time associate. She brings an extensive background in the hotel sales industry to the CVB.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky, Lesley began her career in Florida with Hyatt Hotels Corp. She advanced through the industry, representing major hotels on a national level in locations such as Orlando, Fla., Nashville and Hilton Head Island, S.C. Her most recent sales experience has been representing the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco.

Telia Butler, Public Relations Coordinator
Telia is the newest member of the CVB staff, joining us in the fall of 2012 after being a Marketing and Public Relations intern at Lost River Cave. The Bowling Green native graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2012 with degrees in News/Editorial Journalism and History.
Butler was active at WKU in the Student Publications office as a staff member of both the Talisman and College Heights Herald student-run publications. Butler also interned part-time at the WKU Media Relations department.
