Volunteer Opportunities

Want to do something worthwhile during your visit to Bowling Green, or do you live in the area and desire to make a difference?  We have some awesome opportunities for getting your hands dirty or simply answering questions.  Either way, volunteers make the world go ‘round, and it is a perfect way to see the community!  If you have something in mind you don’t see here, give us a call and we’ll share ideas.

SPORTS MASTERS
This prestigious group of sports nuts is the official volunteer team for all major sporting events in Bowling Green and beyond.  The Sports Masters can help set up hospitality, information, and press box areas at athletic events using their three travel trailers.  From serving as team host families to directing visitors on where to go, these volunteers go the extra mile.  If you are interested in becoming a member of the Sports Masters, simply fill out our Volunteer Form and someone will be in touch with you soon.

LOST RIVER CAVE
Many volunteer opportunities exist for individuals, families or large groups wanting to help out once or on a committed basis at Lost River Cave & Valley in Bowling Green.  Volunteer projects consist of improving the natural environment by removing invasive plants and trash, supporting the educational efforts by assembling programming supplies, and outreach to our visitors through greeting, administrative assistance, or being a trail docent.  Please contact Annie Holt for a volunteer project that is perfect for you!  Contact by phone, 270-393-0077, or email annie (at) lostrivercave.com.

MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK
There are often opportunities for volunteers just north of Bowling Green at Mammoth Cave National Park, from trail building to campground hosting to helping visitors at the Information Desk.  At the world’s longest known cave system, volunteers log hundreds of hours each year, helping complete some of the Park’s most important projects.  Visit Mammoth Cave’s website to see a list of current volunteer opportunities, then email the Park Volunteer Coordinator for further information.
