Notes about Mammoth Cave Accessibility:
Because of the physical constraints involved in moving into, out of, and
through the underground environment, the cave itself is not accessible.
There are, however, many activities at Mammoth Cave National Park for
every level of mobility. The Park offers accessible camping, picnicking,
trails, lodging, dining, and Visitor Center facilities. The Park's accessible
facilities include:
- Visitor Center
- Mammoth Cave Campground - The park's main campground has two designated
wheelchair accessible campsites. Restrooms, post office and laundry
facilities.
- Picnic Tables at the main Picnic Area and Sloan's Crossing Pond.
- Trails - Heritage Trail, Sloan's Crossing Pond Walk and Sand Cave
Trail.
- Ranger Activities - Some ranger-led activities are accessible; inquire
at the Visitor Center.
- Hotel and Restaurants - Call for a full list of accessible facilities.
