See the "Great 8" exhibit now through Sept. 1 featuring the Corvettes retrieved from the sinkhole. Make a tax-deductible donation to the Museum today at http://goo.gl/lHlZvc.
The Bowling Green and Corvette communities were shocked by the sinkhole that opened under the Skydome on February 12, 2014, but the Museum remains open and has been deemed completely safe for visitors. Read more about the surreal incident here.
*May 23, 2014: The Skydome is now open daily for sinkhole viewing. This opportunity is included in the cost of regular admission and available through the summer, until construction starts on the area (we do not yet know the plans for the area, or when construction will start). Children must be age 8 and older.
This home for America’s Sports Car features over 70 Corvettes showcased in periodic settings. See mint classics, prototypes, rare finds and racing champs. Families will enjoy the KidZone with hands-on activities for children. Through August 2014 guests can view the massive sinkhole that opened within the Skydome building of the Museum, as well as the eight Corvettes in the same condition that they were in when rescued from the sinkhole’s depths. A Corvette is available in the lobby for photo ops and so you can “try one on for size.” Pickup a few souvenirs in their Corvette Store, grab a bite to eat in the Corvette Café and even register to win your own ‘Vette!
Download their free audio tour online or via their Museum app, or visitors may rent an MP3 player at the Museum for only $5.
