Bash on April 26, 2008
Bowling Green,
KY –
The National Corvette Museum’s annual C5/C6 Bash scheduled
for April 24-26, 2008 will host a ground breaking ceremony in recognition
of the Museum’s 47,000 square-foot expansion scheduled for
completion in 2009. The expansion will enhance the Museum’s
existing services offering a more “hands-on” experience
to visitors and includes a Library and Archives, Corvette Hall of
Fame, Conference Center and Café, as well as providing additional
space to the Corvette Store, Museum Delivery area, restrooms and
storage.
Thanks to the
generous contributions of individuals, members, clubs and business
partners, we have already raised $2.7 million in pledges and donations
towards the necessary $10 Million for the building addition and
renovation. Celebrate, educate, and preserve Corvette's heritage
and the future of the National Corvette Museum with a tax deductible
gift made online at www.corvettemuseum.com or by contacting Connie
Russell at (800) 53-VETTE ext 115.
“We feel
that the C5/C6 Bash event is the perfect setting for our ground
breaking ceremony, as it continues to be an event full of surprises
and excitement,” states NCM Executive Director, Wendell Strode.
“The Bash event is traditional in offering unique activities
and specials unveilings, and the 2008 Bash will be a great time
to break ground for the expansion and showcase what the future holds
for the Museum, our members and the 140,000 plus visitors that come
each year.”
The 11th Annual Bash event will offer participants numerous opportunities
to test their skills, enjoy the attractions of the Bowling Green
