Top 50 Best Places to Live & Play

Bowling Green, Ky. - National Geographic Adventure Magazine selected Bowling Green as one of the fifty best adventure towns in the country. The feature story of the magazine’s September issue is devoted to one town from each state that offers a balanced blend of “terrain, activity, and opportunity.”

Subgroups on the list include top mountain, urban, coastal, wilderness, and small towns. Bowling Green falls under the best small town category with 10 others. The number one Best Adventure Town is Las Vegas, and Nashville, Tn. made the top cities portion of the list.

Attractions such as the Corvette Museum, GM Assembly Plant, and the L&N Depot contributed to the consideration in addition to Bowling Green’s proximity to Nashville, Louisville and Mammoth Cave. Other factors are the amount of bicycle loops in the city, area parks and pick-it-yourself farms.
