Free Cave Tours to Military Members and Veterans on Veterans Day, November 11

(MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK – October 29, 2009) Superintendent Patrick Reed announced today that all military personnel, active and retired, and their families will receive free admittance to certain cave tours on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in honor of Veteran’s Day.  The fee waiver applies to the Historic, Mammoth Passage, New Entrance, and Frozen Niagara cave tours only.

The free cave tours are offered at the following times on November 11:

Historic (limit 120 people/tour)      9:45, 12:45

Mammoth Passage (limit 40)      11:00, 3:30

New Entrance (limit 114)        11:30, 2:45

Frozen Niagara (limit 39)        9:30, 1:15, 3:15
