Ms. Anderson Brings Experience in Many Aspects of Historic Site Management

Bowling Green, Ky.—August 24, 2009 — The Hobson House Commission today announced that Karen Anderson has been named Executive Director of Riverview at Hobson Grove, Bowling Green’s historic house museum. Ms. Anderson will assume her duties on Monday, September 14, 2009.

“We are pleased to have found a perfect fit for Riverview. Karen brings education, experience, and eagerness from around the country to Bowling Green,” said Margaret Stein, Hobson House Commission chairperson.

Ms. Anderson holds a Bachelor’s of Art in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s of Art in Critical and Curatorial Studies from the University of Louisville. She has experience in preservation, maintenance, and interpretation at the following historic homes: Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Sites in Hyde Park, New York, Harpers Ferry National Historic Park in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia and Conrad-Caldwell House in Louisville, Kentucky.

Riverview at Hobson Grove is a historic house museum that is interpreted to the 1860-1890 period. The home is open for tours Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.
