Marketing Director joins Visitors Bureau
Bowling Green, Ky. – The Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau named Emily Causey as its new Marketing Director. Causey previously worked as a Graphic Designer at Fruit of the Loom in Bowling Green where she was part of the Marketing team through advertising and packaging of the casualwear line. Prior to that position, Causey coordinated email-marketing campaigns for locally-owned Camping World.
Originally from Hopkinsville, Ky., Causey graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2004 with a Fine Arts degree concentrating in Design. She made the most of her time on the hill as a Spirit Master. Causey is currently serving her third term on the Board of Directors of The Symphony at WKU for which she also is a member of the Marketing Committee. She and her husband Andrew, the Minister of Music at Woodburn Baptist Church, have a ten-month old daughter named Eden.
Causey is eager to revisit Bowling Green’s attractions from a marketing perspective and become more familiar with the area’s tourism offerings. Her first major project will be designing the upcoming edition of the area Visitor’s Guide that markets Bowling Green as a tourist destination.
