GM Corvette Assembly Plant
Please note that the Plant will cease tours on September 14, 2012 for a $131 million upgrade. We'll keep you posted on when it's back open for public tours.
Every Corvette made in the world today is produced in Bowling Green! Here you can see the step by step production of America's favorite sports car. Individual reservations are recommended and group tours are by reservation only.
Tours are closed on holidays. Tour times subject to change without notice, call before traveling long distances. No cell phones, cameras, electronic devices, purses, backpacks or fanny packs allowed. Closed toe shoes only. Children must be seven years or older and school groups must be 3rd grade or above.
Tour cost is $7 per person. Current GM employees, GM retirees (with ID), and active military personnel (with ID) are permitted to tour free of charge. Their accompanying guests will be admitted at no charge as well, up to a maximum of 10 guests.
Tours sponsored, organized and supervised by schools within Warren County and surrounding counties are welcome, beginning with children in third grade. Such school tours involving children in grades three through eight will be admitted free of charge. Of course, whether a tour fee is charged or not, all tourists must comply with the plant's dress code and restrictions on personal property (i.e., cameras, purses, electronic devices, etc.).
Some memorabilia including t-shirts are available for purchase at the Plant.
Looking to take a picnic break or to stretch your legs during a long trip? Bowling Green Assembly features a wildlife habitat spread across 75 acres, roughly the size of 83 football fields. Within the space are 42,000 pounds of ground-up ergonomic mats reused from inside the plant to form the foundation for a picnic area. Students planted sunflowers along the route, which also features blue bird boxes planted by a local Boy Scout troop. The team collaborates with environmental experts to best choose appropriate native species for the grounds.
Hours: Please call ahead for plant closure dates as internal business matters can cause unexpected cancellation of tours. Public tours ($7) are offered Monday - Thursday at 8:30am, 11:30am, 12:45pm and 2:00pm CST. Some Friday tours are available if the plant is in production. Please call in advance.
THE PLANT WILL NOT OFFER TOURS from 9/14 until further notice.
