Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center
Kentucky's newest performing arts venue in downtown Bowling Green, the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, seats 1,800 people with an expansive stage and best-in-class theatrical and sound equipment suitable for Broadway shows, classical music, bluegrass to newgrass, lectures, touring comedians, and more as well as large corporate gatherings.
An additional 200-seat flexible studio theatre will host blues or jazz bands, intimate theatrical productions, local performing troupes or school groups and others desiring a smaller, more flexible and intimate performance environment.
SKyPAC's Art Gallery (M-F 11am- 6pm)is dedicated to showcasing the best of local, regional and national artists, and an outdoor amphitheater will offer additional space for groups to perform in a relaxed atmosphere and for the community to enjoy movies “under the stars”. Additionally, the beautiful, open lobby is an ideal reception venue and community gathering space.
Inaugural Season performances included CATS, MAMMA MIA!, Damn Yankees, Sesame Street Live, Riders in the Sky, Blues Brothers Review, Sam Bush, Leon Russell, and more!
SKyPAC and Independence Bank announce the inaugural Sounds of Independence Concert coming to Bowling Green on July 27, 2013, featuring country music sensation Darius Rucker. This outdoor concert experience is the first of its kind at this facility and provides visitors with another exciting type of concert experience.
