Scottsville, Ky. – South Central Bank was recently named as the title sponsor of the 2006 South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South.

The South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South is a 16-team high school girls' basketball tournament played Dec. 27-30 at Allen County-Scottsville High School in Scottsville. This year will be the 23rd consecutive year for the tournament. The South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South has been one of Kentucky's premiere basketball tournaments for high school teams since its inception in 1984.

The field for the 2006 South Central Bank Lady Invitational of the South includes 12 teams from Kentucky: Adair County, Allen County-Scottsville, Butler County, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Hart County, Iroquois, Johnson Central, Lyon County, Meade County, Monroe County and Nelson County.

The remaining four teams are from Tennessee: Gallatin, Red Boiling Springs, Smith County and White House.

The tournament will tip off at 9:30 am on Dec. 27 with Franklin-Simpson facing Smith County.
