Happy Birthday, USA! There are several places where you can celebrate Independence Day with phenomenal fireworks displays in and around Bowling Green.

Bowling Green, KY Fireworks

The National Corvette Museum is the backdrop for fireworks on July 2 with the BG Kiwanis Club's annual Thunderfest. Cost is $25 per carload, and gates open at 4pm. There will be concessions, live music, activities and more.

You can also celebrate with America's favorite pastime at the Bowling Green Ballpark. The Bowling Green Hot Rods, the High A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, are in town for July 4 and will be celebrating the holiday with a Fourth of July Spectacular.

South Central Kentucky Fireworks

If lake life is more your style, head out to Barren River Lake State Resort Park for an annual display hosted by the Friends of Barren River Lake & Park each fourth of July. There are free parking options, or park right at the Sunset Cove beach for $20 per car. There will also be activities throughout the day at beach.

Will you be closer to the Cave City area for fireworks? Check out the Cave City Community Fireworks Display on July 3rd beginning at 9pm. The location for the launch of this display is 807 Mammoth Cave Road right behind Wild Wonderful Gifts.

Of course, plenty of neighborhood block parties will be hosting their own displays, so just follow the sparkles in the sky, find a nearby parking lot, and enjoy! If you need to stock up on your own, our friends with Skylite Fireworks have a tent set up right next door to the Convention & Visitors Bureau on Three Springs Road. Remember, local ordinance states no fireworks after 10 pm with the exception of July 4 when it extends to 11 pm.

If you prefer to celebrate with quieter activities, check out our Events this Weekend page for ideas.
