Happy Birthday, USA! We sure are bummed about the cancellation of the area's most popular fireworks displays, Thunderfest at the National Corvette Museum and post-game shows at the BG Ballpark, but there are still a couple of opportunities to see some wonderful fireworks around Bowling Green in 2020! If the weather cooperates for outdoor fun, the following private displays are scheduled to take place.

July 4

Fireworks Show

Horse Cave KOA

489 Flint Ridge Rd, Horse Cave, KY 42749

Open to the public with donations accepted and going to Tunnels to Towers. Food trucks will be on site, and fireworks begin at approximately 9 pm. Visit them on Facebook for more

July 4

Barren River Lake 4th of July Fireworks

Launching from private property across the lake from Barren River Lake State Park Campground close to Paradise Point

Please remember you cannot park alongside the highway or bridge. Fireworks begin at dark.

Of course, plenty of neighborhood block parties will be hosting their own displays, so just follow the sparkles in the sky, find a nearby parking lot, and enjoy! If you need to stock up on your own, our friends with Skylite Fireworks have a tent set up right next door to the Convention & Visitors Bureau on Three Springs Road. Remember, local ordinance states no fireworks after 10 pm with the exception of July 4 when it extends to 11 pm.
