What's new in #bgky in 2017?

For adventure seekers, Lost River Cave is building a new zipline across the valley. Called the Flying Squirrel, the experience will include three zips, each zip longer than the last. The zipline is expected to open in spring!

Beech Bend Park & Splash Lagoon continues to celebrate its four new water slides. The World Waterpark Association gave the slides its 2016 Leading Edge Award because they're the first of their kind in the U.S. when it comes to extended amounts of gravity hang-time. With names like Cyclone Saucers, RipTide, and Tidal Wave, visitors are guaranteed fun.

Chaney's Dairy Barn added a new Self-Guided Farm Tour to its offerings late in the season last year. Visitors can now walk through the barn on their own time and watch the robotic milkers milk the Jersey cows in real-time. Stations along the way and viewing stands allow guests to learn the milking process and how the 125+ year-old family farm functions.

The addition of nine new Corvettes and a Maintenance and Preservation area in the National Corvette Museum in 2016 are new to Museum visitors. Guests can observe on-going work being performed on museum-owned vehicles. Occasionally the door is raised and visitors get the opportunity to watch and interact with the staff performing vehicle maintenance.

A couple of brand new hot rod events are bringing thousands more people to town this racing season. The Great Race makes a pit stop in Bowling Green in June, a unique vintage race modeled after the 1960s classic movie with Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis. The Car Craft Summer Nationals are coming to Beech Bend Raceway in July, along with the return of CamaroFest.

2017 is guaranteed to be action-packed in #bgky. #gearedforfun
