Travel has the GREEN light, so head to Bowling Green, Ky. for a great getaway!

COVID-19 Updates

We so excited to have our tourism motors running on all cylinders again in 2022 with all attractions and activities having resumed with careful plans when the time is right for a visit. The health and safety of Bowling Green/Warren County residents and those traveling to our community continue to be of extreme importance to us. We are continuing to monitor the state, federal and international response to the COVID-19/Coronavirus and following their guidelines to help keep our community and travelers feel safe and informed.

Warren County is currently (8/19/22) classified as a YELLOW county (medium community spread), so availability of indoor events and activities is mostly unaffected, but health officials recommend masking indoors. Kentucky's overall positivity rate is currently 20% this week with over 2.9 million Kentuckians — 67% of total population — receiving at least the 1st dose of vaccine. All persons in Kentucky are eligible to receive it.

On June 11, 2021, Kentucky's mask mandate WAS LIFTED as well as capacity restrictions.

Restaurants are open with no current capacity restrictions, although like much of the nation, staffing shortages may affect service. If you are still uncomfortable dining inside, a majority of our locally-owned restaurants continue to offer curbside and carryout options including alcohol. Also, providers such as Take-Out Waiter, Uber Eats, and GrubHub are available in the area. Like our restaurants, several of our locally-owned shops continue to offer curbside service, local delivery to most hotels and shipping.

*For businesses or drivers making local deliveries, the Planning Commission has updated its City and County maps and are available digitally by reaching out to Tonya Colley, tonya.colley@bgky.org.

As guidance and positivity rates continue to fluctuate, more and more events, both indoor and outdoor, are being announced. We are regularly updating the Events calendar of our website as information becomes available. If you need to look at potential conflicts when planning your event, please contact us as our office is uniquely positioned to assist event organizers looking to reschedule.

Several Bowling Green attractions and businesses continue to stream events, behind-the-scenes videos, yoga sessions, and even online car shows to keep us entertained at home. Read this 'i love bg' Blog post with all the details, or check out the Virtual BGKY section on this page for quick links.

When you give travel the green light, we look forward to welcoming our Corvette enthusiasts, adventure-seeking families, bucket-listers, hot rodders, WKU hopefuls and business travelers back to town.

Until then, be Safe. Keep the motors running.
