Lost River Sessions Presents: James Carothers Band featuring GoldpineVisit Website
Lost River Sessions is the Emmy award-winning Folk, Bluegrass, and Americana television, concert, and radio series produced by WKU Public Media in Bowling Green, KY. Replicating the recording style of older folk records, LRS features live music recorded in intimate, iconic settings across the South-Central Kentucky region.
Lost River Sessions presents the James Carothers Band featuring Goldpine. James Carothers, a Tennessee native, received a standing ovation following his Grand Ole Opry debut performance at the Ryman Auditorium in January 2020. He has toured with Alan Jackson, opened for Ricky Skaggs, Trace Adkins, The Charlie Daniels Band and more, bringing us a Tennessee twang, southern storytelling, and throwback country style.
Goldpine is an Americana and folksy duo: Benjamin and Kassie Wilson. They are recent winners of the 2022 Rocky Mountain Songwriter Contest at the Red Lodge Songwriter Festival, testament to their meaningful lyrics and undeniably bold harmony.
Locally, Lost River Sessions airs on WKU PBS 24-1 every Saturday at 8pm CST and Sunday at 9pm CST. LRS also airs on WKU Public Radio (88.9 Bowling Green) every Saturday at 4pm and 7pm CST. Check with your PBS affiliate’s schedule to see when LRS runs in your neck of the woods.
