Enjoyed by over 30,000 residents and visitors for over 60 years! Join the weeks-long celebration in downtown Russellville or visit at the end for the all-day festival, held the second Saturday of October, complete with a huge, small-town parade.
In 2021, the festival begins September 23 and continues through October 9, with events taking place around the Carrico Park Square including a Tobacco Judging contest, a reenactment of the 1868 Jesse James Robbery at the Southern Bank of Kentucky, Historic Walking Tours, Cemetery Tours, Jesse James 5K Run/Walk, Road Rally, Historic Homes Tours, and the Red River Meeting House Primitive Revival and Rendezvous. Other visitor-friendly events are Thunder on the Square Car Show, Historic Jail Tours, Trolley Rides, and the Logan County Wine & Food Festival.
The Tobacco & Heritage Festival grand finale, also known as “Festival Day or Parade Day,” takes place October 9 and features free horse and carriage rides, arts & crafts vendors, and the Kid’s Zone with games, bouncies and more. Karaoke, line dancing, and a few bands rock us through the night with “Entertainment on the Square” to end the festivities at 8 p.m.
