The Vette City Motorcycle Music Fest is a two-day lineup of musicians which includes Grammy Award-winning country artist Gretchen Wilson as headliner at this new event coming to Bowling Green’s National Corvette Museum Oct. 12-13, 2018. Wilson, who earned her Grammy for the 2004 hit “Redneck Woman,” is among the entertainers lined up for the event and headlines the Friday, October 12 concert at the NCM amphitheater.
The Georgia Satellites, a Southern rock band known for the 1986 hit “Keep Your Hands to Yourself,” will perform along with the Kentucky HeadHunters, David Lee Murphy and others. There is expected to be a lineup of 14 artists for the two-day event, which will be packed with motorcycle-related activities, games and vendors.
This will be a family-friendly community event, not just a motorcycle rally.
Those coming to the event will get a lot for the $40 general admission ticket price. In addition to the entertainment on stage, those attending will get free admission to the National Corvette Museum and have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities. such as dyno drag races, a custom car and truck show, two “poker runs” in which bikers can win $1,000, and a performance by Chad Land, known by the stage name “Torch” when he does a motorcycle-themed show full of pyrotechnics.
This inaugural event will also have a kids’ zone with inflatables and other activities and a community service element with the Bikers Against Child Abuse group organizing a benefit ride.
