Bowling Green, KY,  September 11, 2018 – Executive Director Vicki Fitch announced her retirement on Sept. 10 at the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau’s monthly board meeting.

Vicki served the Convention & Visitors Bureau as Executive Director for 13 years, after spending 14 years as Marketing Director. She has also served on and chaired numerous community and state boards.

CVB Board Chairman Larry Bailey said, “The entire board wishes Vicki all of the best in her retirement. Vicki has applied an unequaled passion, love and commitment toward making our Bowling Green Area CVB one of the best in the state. Under her leadership, the CVB earned the Kentucky Economic Engine Award from the Kentucky Travel Industry Association in March 2018. This award recognizes tourism’s positive economic impact in Bowling Green and Warren County — the tourism industry brought $449.2 million tourism dollars to the community and created 4,607 jobs in 2017. The community owes Vicki a large thank you for the tremendous contributions she’s unselfishly made.”

Her retirement will be effective Dec. 1, 2018.  The board is immediately organizing a search process to find a replacement.

Bailey added, “While the board is very happy for Vicki, she will be missed, and filling her position will be challenging.”
