Bowling Green, KY has received five national media placements, just in the last month, touting the city as a top fall destination and highlighting fall activities for travelers.

FodorsForbesFox NewsReal Simple and Travelocity have all written about Bowling Green this past month encouraging readers to visit and take part in the numerous outdoor activities that happen here in the fall months. These placements garner the attention of millions of readers that utilize these outlets for travel inspiration.

“We are so excited any time Bowling Green is mentioned in national media outlets and we work hard to spotlight our local tourism businesses and industry,” said Nora Bryant, communications director at the Bowling Green Area CVB. “The positive attention our destination receives encourages those readers to book their next trip to Bowling Green, KY and it also adds to resident pride! We are so proud of our city, our locals and our businesses, we definitely enjoy showing Bowling Green off.”

The positive media attention is much needed as Bowling Green tourism and hospitality works hard to rise from a difficult year. Total spending by visitors in Warren County in 2020 was $307.7 million, a 22.3% decrease from $395.79 million in 2019. The industry is hopeful in its rise from COVID-19 and positive national media placements help those efforts tremendously.

The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau’s mission is to promote Bowling Green, KY as a leisure and business travel destination. The vision of the CVB is to generate economic impact by promoting and developing Bowling Green and the surrounding region as a welcoming destination for all visitors.
