Bowling Green, Ky.--June 26, 2013--Bowling Green will host the 1st Annual Collector Car Auction on July 13-14 at the National Corvette Museum. Brought to the city by Hartland Auctioneers out of Pennsylvania, the auction plans to feature up to 300 exotic, classic cars. These vehicles are rare antiques and prime collector material--most of which were manufactured by General Motors and considered American muscle cars.
Lesley Howard, regional sales director at the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, said this event is going to be great for the city because Bowling Green is a hub for auto enthusiasts.
"This event was originally planned to be in Detroit since it's the home of GM, but the organizers fell in love with the facilities here at the Corvette Museum and everything else Bowling Green has to offer," Howard said. "They knew Bowling Green was the right place to hold this auction."
