BOWLING GREEN, Ky.,—February 15, 2013—The Southeast Tourism Society has selected Ice Cream & a Moovie at Chaney’s Dairy Barn as one of its Top 20 Events for the month of July 2013.
The best events across the Southeast compete to receive the prestigious Top 20 Events designation. Events must have at least 1,000 in attendance and be in their third year of existence. Through a nomination process, STS chooses the Top 20 Southeastern events for each month of the year and publishes the list of winners quarterly.
On many of Kentucky’s hot summer nights between June and September, family-friendly movies will be projected on the side of Chaney’s Dairy Barn. Showtimes are every other Friday and Saturday nights at dusk. Admission is free and Chaney’s restaurant stays open late to make ice cream and summertime refreshments for moviegoers staked out in lawn chairs and on blankets.
Approximately four thousand people attended Ice Cream & a Moovie during the 2012 season. By showing a variety of kid-friendly movies each year, Chaney’s Dairy Barn promotes the value of family entertainment by offering a low-cost way to spend time with loved ones.
