The Southeast Tourism Society (STS) has named the upcoming Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals one of the STS Top 20 Events in the Southeast for August 2021. The event takes place this week, Aug. 12-14 at Beech Bend Raceway.

This is the largest gathering of tri-fives — Chevys made between 1955-1957 — in the nation and features drag racing, a car show, swap meet, a car giveaway and more.

“I am so thankful to the entire community of Bowling Green for being so welcoming to the participants and spectators who  converge on your town to celebrate the Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals each August,” said Christopher Sondles, founder of the American Tri-Five Association.

The event will kick off tonight, Wednesday evening, August 11th, at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park with an event free and open to the public followed by three full days at Beech Bend Raceway.

The STS Top 20 Festival and Event Awards have highlighted programs around the Southeast since 1985. Travel industry experts select 20 events per month, and STS publicizes them throughout the United States. The complete list is published on Travel Media Press Room.

Events considered for the STS Top 20 recognition must be at least three years old and have attendance of at least 1,000.   The online nomination link and submission deadlines are available at SoutheastTourism.org or by calling 770-542-1523.
