RENOVATIONS UNDERWAY! Please note the park is undergoing renovations beginning July 2017 and the fountain will be off-site for maintenance. During this time, areas of the park will be fenced off and work will be underway. However, work will not affect the diverse, locally-owned businesses surrounding the square, so let the shopping, dining, arts and entertainment continue! Renovations are expected to be complete in late November.

Dedicated in 1872, this enchanting green space was once the town square and site of parades, protests, pageants and more. Lined by beautifully-restored historic buildings, Fountain Square is a vibrant destination again, making the park a perfect spot for watching the world go by. Named one of the Top Ten Public Spaces for 2010 by the American Planning Association! Free summer Concerts in the Park series every June on Wednesdays at noon.

A brochure is available at the Convention & Visitors Bureau or at Candle Makers on the Square for a self-guided tour of the historic buildings on Fountain Square.
