The Bowling Green Tricks & Treats Trail 

How it works:

At any of the 10 participating attractions, stamp card stations are set up. These stations include a stamp and stamp pad. Stamp the logo of the attraction that you are visiting, then take a closer look at other attractions on the card and plan where your adventure will take you next!

Prize Tiers:

4 Stamps: Locally-made fall scented candle from Candle Makers on the Square
6 Stamps: Fall-themed trucker hat
8 Stamps: Entrance into a giveaway for one lucky winner who will receive a fall gift basket of local goodies!

The winner of the giveaway will be drawn on November 7th. Prizes are only available while supplies last and the promotion ends on November 7th, so make sure you redeem your stamped card for prizes before it’s too late!

Once you have stamped either 4, 6 or 8 locations, turn your card into the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau to redeem for prizes! We are located at 720 Ewing Way, Bowling Green, KY 42103. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Locate each destination's stamp station by visiting their description below!

Dr. Smith's Spooky Stories: Hilltop History and Haunts Tour

 

Is Western Kentucky University haunted? Take a 90-minute stroll with paranormal researcher Dr. Tamela Smith to uncover the eerie stories and unexplained encounters behind some of The Hill’s most notorious spots. Tours are held regularly on Fridays and Saturdays through the fall season, but advance registration is required. To register for a tour, visit Dr. Smith’s website by clicking here and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Where to stamp: Dr. Smith will have stamp cards and stamps available during your tour. Ask her for a card or bring yours to get it stamped!

A guide leading a walking tour for UnSeen BG

 

Explore Bowling Green’s darker side with UnSeen BG’s walking tours, during which local history and scandalous haunted tales come to life. On select dates in September and October, you can choose from the new Little Chicago tour (ages 18+) or Pauline Tabor’s tour (ages 21+). Each walking tour covers approximately 1.5 miles.

Actors in the Tales of the Underground experience at Lost River Cave

 

Get ready for a full night of scares at Skeleton’s Lair, where four attractions (haunted woods, a hayride, haunted house and 3D maze) bring plenty of frights. Open Fridays through Sundays through Halloween, the park also hosts special event weekends and fan experiences featuring famous horror movie characters.

Skeleton's Lair

 

Head below the surface for a Halloween adventure in the underground waters of Lost River Cave. This 45-minunte tour combines ghostly legends and dark history in an experience that includes a walk through the valley and a boat ride through the cave—with no jump scares.

Lost River Cave is famous for what’s going on underground, but another kind of family-friendly fall fun happens above the cave. Wander The Scarecrow trail and discover quirky scarecrows created by locals. We even have our own John Carpenter scarecrow! It’s free to explore and open from dawn ‘til dusk October 3rd through 25th

Lost Tales of the Underground tickets must be purchased in advance on their website but Scarecrow trail admission is always free!
