The Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau teamed up with eight other convention and visitor bureaus and 13 breweries in the western part of the Commonwealth to launch a craft beer trail called the West Kentucky Brewery Hop. The hop has breweries between the cities of Beaver Dam, Benton, Bowling Green, Glasgow, Henderson, Hopkinsville, Glasgow, Murray, Owensboro and Paducah.
Anyone 21 or older may participate in the West Kentucky Brewery Hop by first obtaining a passport from their local cvb or craft brewery. Once the participant obtains a passport, they are encouraged to try a beer at each of the breweries on the trail. After purchasing a local beer, the brewery will stamp your passport. Following the completion of the trail, or getting a stamp from at least seven breweries, the participant may mail their passport to the Henderson CVB to claim their prize. Once the passport is verified, the Henderson CVB will mail back your passport along with a West Kentucky Brewery Hop pint glass. There is no timeline to complete a passport. Participants are encouraged to not only try each brewery but check out the other entertainment options each city has selected to highlight in the passport.

Travelers look for locally-crafted goods when visiting a destination and this is a fantastic opportunity to show off our delicious, local beer by our wonderful partners at Blue Holler Brew Supplies and Gasper Brewing Company.&rdquo

We’re excited about the new trail and what it means for the local economies as well as the commonwealth. Our tourism industry has been greatly impacted by the pandemic, and its innovative efforts such as this that will help us move forward toward recovery,” said Mike Mangeot, Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Tourism.
The western Kentucky breweries on the hop include Blue Holler Brew Supplies and Gasper Brewing Co. in Bowling Green, Henderson Brewing Company, Uncrafted Territory Brewing Co. in Beaver Dam, Paducah Beer Werks, Dry Ground Brewing Co. in Paducah, Hop Hound Brew Pub in Murray, Dam Brewhaus in Benton, Hopkinsville Brewing Co., Yancey’s Gastropub & Brewery in Glasgow, Mile Wide Beer Co., Brew Bridge and Goodwood Brewing & Spirits in Owensboro.
